Birthplace of Master Shengyen’s (1931–2009) Dharma Drum Mountain Sangha, the Nungchan (“Farm Zen”) Monastery is an impressive modernist Zen temple in Taipei’s Beitou District. It is famous for its large reflecting pool and tranquil ambience.
