Successful Lay Cultivation of Pure Land Buddhism Described by Infinite Life Sutra

Diligent lay cultivators vow for Bodhi, and cultivate merits such as recitations, precept keeping, distributing Buddha images, building temples/stupas and making offerings to the Buddha (of flowers, incense, silk streamers and candles). Master Chin Kung has also clarified that propagating the Dharma also counts as offerings since in the past, such elaborate ceremonies were also part of Dharma speaking events.
