The Guanyin Spiritual Response Oracle (Lot Based Divination)

This divination method uses five coins (marked with the five elements on the head side) to identify various lots (descriptions inside). One scrambles the coins after a long prayer before tossing them onto the floor, and the resulting combination (of element marked heads and blank tails) signifies the particular lot that is the answer.

According to Master Yin Guang, this method of divination, which works through the grace of Guanyin, was bestowed by the Bodhisattva on Master Xuanzang so that he could foreknow what diffiuclties he would face each day on his arduous trek to retreive Sutras from India. Thus, if we are confronted with instability, or stranded in difficulty, this divination method can help us greatly.
